Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A lot are asking about an SSD likely because this computer has nearly everything else you would want in a top tier laptop except an SSD. A Solid State Drive is faster than a standard Hard Disc Drive mainly because it has no moving parts. The biggest difference is noticed when starting up the computer, it will start much faster than a hard drive. Past that, mostly only power users will notice the difference. The downfall to SSDs is that they tend to have smaller amounts of storage per dollar. This means instead of a 1TB (about 1000GB) HDD you may only get a 128GB SSD.
