“Does this laptop come with a 2nd bay with a connector to add an SSD? If so, is the slot for a 2.5" SSD or PCI Express/NVMe M.2 ? I would like to use an SSD as the primary drive and the 1 Tb HDD for storage of files, music, videos, etc. Thanks”

Bruce, if you are going to answer a question make sure you answer it correct. This laptop has a empty slot for an m.2 SSD. I added one and use the 1TB drive as a data drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.By nature, laptops don't have empty bays. Only desktops have additional drive bays for additional drives (HDD, SSD, optical). If you want a SSD, search for a laptop by SSD. If you want this HP model, you could replace its HDD. Don't buy the SSD before you measure this HDD. It could be either 7 mm or 9.5 mm.
