A:Answer This laptop does have 5 ports minimum; it does not however have the CD player. That is the one thing it lacks built in. You can plug in an external DVD drive, a mouse, and a cooling fan, but you won't be able to use all three of those at the same time because they take USB-A, and this device only has two of them (USB-A). You do have a mic/headphone port to hook up your external speakers, however it has very loud internal speakers so you may not need the external ones.
