HP is very dedicated to product quality and has devices tested repeatedly for any possible issues such as the hinge design and drop tests for durability with the screen as well as other areas of the laptop. If you have any issues at all, contact HP Support or Geek Squad right away. You do have a 1-year manufacturer's warranty with this device, and you can also look into Geek Squad protection as well. The faster they are made aware of an issue, the more likely they can figure out the initial cause of the problem and find a solution to fix it.
