QuestionI saw a previous answer here from HP team that the RAM is not user upgradable for this (15m-eu0043dx). However for 15m-eu0023dx with almost similar specs the memory can be upgraded to 64GB. Does this really have a different build with Soldered ram ?

- Answer HP may say that the RAM is not user upgradeable, but that is often a lie. They may also say that the PC only supports up to 16GB of RAM, but that is a lie as well. I have an HP 15m-bq121dx from late 2017 with the Ryzen 5 2500U that I purchased from Best Buy in March of 2018. It came with 8GB (2x4GB) of DDR 2400MHz RAM and a 1TB 7200RPM hard drive. HP's website and the Service and Maintenance Guide said that the RAM was not user accessible/upgradeable, and that the laptop only supported up to 16GB of RAM. I was able to EASILY access the two sticks of RAM in the laptop and initially upgraded it to 16GB (2x8GB). Just a few months ago I installed two 16GB sticks of RAM for a total of 32GB of RAM and it works perfectly. I also have an NVMe SSD and a 2.5" SATA SSD installed in it. It's incredibly sad and dishonest of HP to pretend that the RAM in their laptops isn't accessible/upgradeable, when in fact it is, or to claim that the laptop only supports up to 16GB when it is in fact capable of supporting more than that. They do this because they want you to buy a more expensive laptop like the Spectre line.

- Answer This machine uses * DDR4 3200MHz SODIMM Laptop Memory 1.2V I personally have 32gigs of Crucial CT2K16G4SFRA32A installed. It works great! Make sure you use 1.2V ram, not 1.35V.

- Answer i have been using windows 11 about 6 weeks now.....have had absolutely NO problem!!!!! there are a few minor changes as to how you open programs (excel, word, etc.) but, the changes are second nature, once you use them a few times....i think windows 11 is a safe, and good, purchase.

- Answer Unfortunately, the motherboard only has one NVMe m.2 slot, and there isn't a free bay in the computer to carry a second SATA drive.

- Answer Thank you for the question. The Envy 15m-eu0043dx does not have an IR camera, however, it does have a Fingerprint Reader for use with Windows Hello.

- Answer Honestly, I can't answer why the processor specs aren't included or why HP didn't include a keypad, but I can tell you that the processor has a "base speed" of 1.8 GHz. That doesn't sound high, but think of it like the idle speed of a car engine. As the workload on the computer increases, the processor can speed itself up to 4.3 GHz.

- Answer Yes, it comes with HP's standard 1 year parts and labor warranty, which does not cover accidental damage like drops or spills. However, you can purchase the optional Geek Squad protection that does cover those things.

- Answer Both the RAM and NVMe M.2 SSD are removable and easily upgradeable. That's the first thing I did when my laptop arrived. They are NOT soldered on.
