• It comes with a full set of ink cartridges. The printer can run on single cartridge mode if one of the ink cartridges are taken out.

• The printer will continue to print even if both cartridges are not full.

• Yes the printer comes with both color and black cartridge. Haven't had an empty cartridge yet but in printer settings you can select whether or not to print in color or black.

• Not sure about printing if one ink isn't full but it does come with both inks to get going. Take it out of the box, plug it in and you're ready to print in less than 20 min
