Ink cartridges are 62 black and 62 color. Cost depends on the size cartridge purchased standard or XL. HP incudes an offer for direct shipment of cartridges at a significant savings for a year if you sign up for the program. Basically the HP Envy 5660 contacts HP directly to let them know the ink is low and HP direct ships a new cartridge out.
