• To email remotely to the printer, the printer needs to be turned on. So yes, if someone is there and turned it on, they will receive your email.

• I don't see why it wouldn't work with your printer. Just make sure you have a Wi-Fi connection. If not, you may need to purchase a USB cord to connect to the printer. Also, the printer comes with a print from email function that allows you to email the printer, even if you're away from home, and it will print!
