I would answer that question no. HP Instant Ink uses DRM (Digital Rights Management) When you enroll in HP’s Instant Ink program, your printer and your ink cartridges are digitally paired through HP’s servers. This connection is managed via the printer’s firmware and HP’s online system. Each Instant Ink cartridge contains a chip that: • Reports ink levels and usage back to HP. • Authenticates that the cartridge is valid and linked to your. When the printer detects the cartridges are not “authorized,” Instant Ink cartridges it disables them — even if they’re full. Ergo; you will NOT be able to print! I highly recommend, unless you do a lot of printing, you do not subscribe to Instant Ink!
