Hello, I see that you're interested in knowing if the ENVY 7640 can be wired and wireless at the same time. Although the 7640 supports both wired and wireless connection, you cannot have both active at the same time. The best solution to be able to print from your PC and laptop at the same time will be to connect the printer to a router using Ethernet cable/ wireless (based on your choice). Then connect the laptop to the same router on wireless. Hopefully that helps you out, and thanks again for choosing HP.

I initially started to hook up my old USB printer cord from an older HP printer, but when I did, I got a message saying that I would not be able to print wirelessly if I did this. I did not investigate any further because I wanted the ability to print any documents whether it be from my phone, tablet or laptop remotely.
