As long as you have a standard HDMI cable to connect from the monitor to the computer, it should be okay. I have a nearly five year old Acer monitor connected to my HP computer and it's just fine. I think the computer industry has pretty much standardized systems so a multitude of products can be used. They used to call it "plug and play". Good luck!
