Why does the screen go black and become unresponsive? Cortana sometimes works but often there is just a blue spinning wheel and can't even close a window. Is this Windows 10 or computer? 6 months old and HP hasn't been able to fix this. null

Sometimes the windows are a bit hard to open. Their dependability is fallible - check for infection, upgrade, update, reset and carry on

I am seeing the same thing and am suspecting it is the Win 10. The black screen though is power save mode and you can probably change the setting where it doesn't happen as soon as it does now or not at all, depending on your taste or requirements.
