I did it by having them both on my wi-fi network (had an extra monitor) and copied. That would probably work on a cable also. Or copy to a flashdrive and transfer that way. No problems opening them there. I had more problems dealing with the OneDrive Cloud Backup which seems to have a mind of its own so step into that with care. My other windows10 machine and this machine both upload, copy, and move files and are messing up my directories. So be careful how you name folders so you can tell where your files are. I put the copied files into their own folder so that I could find them.
