You could add a solid state drive in the M.2 socket 3, key M slot. For more assistance, I would recommend reaching out to HP Support or the Geek Squad at Best Buy.

Cable management was a bit challenging and I had to buy a drive adapter for 10 bucks. I now have 5 TB of SSD storage, an NVIDIA GT 1030 video card, a 4 USB 3.0 card, and 32 GB RAM . All installed with no hiccups at all. I do recommend Macrium drive cloning software to duplicate the data on the OEM SSD.
