It sounds like the problem is that it's a 2.5 inch drive, and a 3.5 inch drive bay. Luckily, they make adapters that the drive fits into, which then fits into the open drive bay. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/corsair-dual-sata-drive-enclosure-for-2-5-solid-state-drives-black/6033200.p?skuId=6033200 is an example of that kind of adapter.
