No it doesn't "come with Excel." you will need a Microsoft subscription or will need to purchase their office product. You could also use Google Sheets and Google Drive for almost free. This is a great computer for basic email, FB and picture editing. It might not be up to running really intense games though. As for the keyboard - it is frustrating to use. It doesn't have separate arrow keys. And you are always guess if you need to hit the shift key to use the Function Keys. Some times yes, sometimes no and sometimes what you are doing goes away. I purchased a four port USB A expander and went back to using my old mouse and keyboard.
