This printer supports Windows XP with Service pack 3.

Yes, this model is compatible with Windows® XP SP3 or higher (32-bit only).

I do not use Win XP so I can't answer that question. I doubt that it would work, because HP support, updates, and drivers only seem to be for Win 7; Win 8 and Win 10. This is a question that should be answered by HP Support personel.
