“Can you print with black and white cartridge only with empty color cartridge”

• Hello, yes you can print with the black color cartridge only and the color cartridges empty of ink but in place in the printer. Printers require ink in order to run the alignment and maintenance of the printer heads so you will need to install ink at that point. Thank you for being an HP customer.
