It might as long as you don’t remove the color cartridge, The printer will let you know when the ink is running low, so you should purchase another one before running out completely. If you set your printer up with HP instant ink then they are aware that the ink is low and will mail you another cartridge for a total of 5 months free. You may have to sign up with customer service. The process might be a little frustrating but worth it.
