“Want to connect a wqhd monitor like the Dell wqhd38. Will this laptop allow me to connect and still use it to its 4k potential. Would like to run CAD and other multi task programs. thanks.”

I don't know about the Dell wqhd38 monitor. But I know you can use the CAD software and be able to multi-task in just about everything.
