• I took mine back to the store and was given another with no resistence

• Not normal at all. Even when dead and first plugged in it should automatically turn on and quick. Return it for a replacement asap; mine never had this problem.

• The power button is located on the left side of the computer where the headphone jack is. If that does not work, you may have gotten a lemon. A simple exchange will do it.
