• no cd/dvd drive in this machine - just find a simple plug in version and you will be fine, losing the drive allows for other helpful items. one real plus is this is a VERY cool running machine thanks to the redesign

• No it doesn't. I bought me a CD/DVD writer for $40.00 to use when needed.

• Good question. This laptop does not have a built-in DVD/CD drive. You can use an external USB DVD/CD drive with it. I hope this helps.

• No it does not. Most manufacturers are doing away with dvd/cd-rom drives to conserve space.
