- Answer You log into your "Instant Ink" account online, and from there it will tell you how many pages you've printed, as well as several other things. It all online.

QuestionI just purchased a new printer as the one that has this program installed has gone bad. My question is once I hook up the new printer will HP Instant Ink auto connect to it and send me the right ink for it? I will be deleting the old printer.

- Answer You must enroll the new printer in your hp account through the website. It was a little tricky finding the claim code but my printer was already set up and I spent time with the virtual assistant in working it out. You can and should go to the website and read the instructions to replace your printer.

- Answer You are charged $2.99 a month until you reach 50 pages in a month, then you are charged extra. Not sure what the extra charge is. Only advantage is that you can cancel at any time.

- Answer When you get your printer home, sign up for HP+ which is signing up for HP Instant Ink. You will need to be OK with HP seeing how often you use your printer. When the printer starts to get low on ink, they send you a box with new ink. The price per month depends on how many pages you think you will print. I believe $4.99 a month is for 50 pages. I find it saves on ink costs and I am very happy with the service. To answer your question, after you sign up and get it going, the service is free for six months and you will be charged on the seventh month.

QuestionSo if I don’t go over my monthly usage. I still have ink in my printer if for some reason I don’t use say 50 sheets in 3-4 months they still send me those new cartridges monthly even if I have not used up the previous ones?

- Answer Thank you for the question. Instant Ink will send new cartridges when the printer signals that it's running low on ink, and that may not be monthly. You can roll over up to two months of unused (unprinted) pages too.

- Answer Hi Eddie, thank you for reaching out. Your monthly fee is automatically deducted from the balance on the pre-paid card. When the card reaches a zero balance, you'll be prompted to enter a new payment method if you opt to keep the service. If you entered a pre-paid card and it's not reflected on your account, please contact Instant Ink customer service for assistance at 1-855-785-2777.

- Answer This is an excellent question! I wondered the exact same thing! Now, I have an answer for you. When you enroll online for the program, it will tell you that you will get your first set of HP Instant Ink cartridges in about 10 days. Your Instant Ink program (free months and/or charges) won't start until you actually install one of those new cartridges into your printer though. Once you print something on your new printer (with the cartridges it came with), a message will pop up telling you that your Instant Ink program has now been officially set up. From that point, you'll get a set of cartridges in about 10 days. Just put them up until you need them. Once you install one or both of them, your program officially starts. That's when your free 3 months actually begins and then on the 4th month following that is when you'll be charged the appropriate monthly fee. If you chose a larger plan than you find that you really need, just change the plan before the charges begin. If you didn't choose a large enough plan, also upgrade to avoid any additional charges. :-)

- Answer John, if you are asking about the HP instaink program working with your printer I know they have a list of HP compatible printers. One requirement is it must be wireless. Hope I helped.

Currently, there is no annual payment plan, however, in theory, you could purchase pre-paid Instant Ink cards from your retailer and add them to your account as your primary payment method. You would still need to enter a credit card for monthly billing after the pre-paid balance has been cleared. For more information, please reach out to Instant Ink Customer Service at 1-855-785-2777.

QuestionI have attempted to subscribe to this program of receiving the instant ink twice. I received only one delivery of ink cartilage . I am not clear what happened to future delivery. Can you help me?

- Answer Did you enroll a plan successfully? If so, when your HP printer connected to a wifi, then, HP will know how to estimate when you need new ink cartridges, they will mail out what you need. They will send you an confirmation email to inform how many ink cartridges in the package. Unfortunately, you will not know that whether they will mail 1 or 2 ink cartridges beforehand. But, I never run out of ink. I alway receive new cartridges before I really need them. FYI, if you somehow receive new ink cartridges and you realize you don’t use up your plan and decide to cancel your subscription; you cannot use that new ink cartridges. You can try to install it but it will not let you print. You need to buy a new ink cartridges in order to use your printer. You also cannot use your old ink cartridges ( the very first one comes with your printer, in case you have leftover, install your new one and save the old one for later use). Hope this helps.

- Answer You would just simply sign in to your account, then select the Enroll/Replace link. The Enroll/Replace link will be located right under the name of your current printer. You would select "Enroll an additional printer" or "Replace an existing printer". And follow the prompts to set up the new printer.

- Answer I did not enroll you do not have to do it. I prefer to buy my own ink also. I do not like automatic enrollment it’s not beneficial for me.

- Answer Yes. Go to your HP instant ink account and select Replace my Printer or similar. That's what i did. My new printer also included a code for 3 free months. so that was cool.
