For the starter cartridge, I think that's about right.

If you are printing fully covered pages, it's quite possible that you've used more than half of the toner. For all brands, including HP, quoted page yields are based on the ISO standard of 5% coverage per page (5% coverage is about the size of an email). Users often print pages more heavily inked. This is why the Instant Ink (and toner) service is a good deal, because you're charged by the page, no matter how much ink or toner is used to print the page.
