All toner cartridges have a yield based on page count and % coverage. HP OEM toner (black) should be 1500 pages at 5% coverage. Remember, this could go down or up based on the printing needs, print a full black and white picture and it could use more toner than 2 or 3 pages. I just print until I'm out and then buy more, that way I can get all I can out of my money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to HP's website, the standard black toner cartridge for the LaserJet Pro M277dw will print 1,500 "Standard" pages, the color cartridges 1,400 "Standard" pages The high yield cartridges claim 2,800 standard pages for black, 2,300 standard pages for the color cartridges. Note that these figures are for a standardized page; your mileage will vary based on how much of a given color you print on a page (i.e. a color photo is going to use a lot more toner than a typed page with a couple of color highlighted sentences)

In addition, there is a status that you can check on how much toner you have left. The plus side is that toner does not dry out and can last a long time. I have a old Brother MFC that stills have the same toner cartridge in it.
