• The touch screen rotates up and forward, giving an additional 1" of clearance. The touch screen is located at the left edge of the scanning screen (as you look at the front of the Printer). So this allows a clearance of 1" plus the 5/16" clearance, when the touch screen is down for a "taller" book to fit between the Scanner "Lid" and the touch screen. With a 1 3/4" clearance between the edge of the scanner and the Lid, the total space is ~12 3/4".
