• This unit uses a black toner cartridge, and supports both the HP 26A and 26X (more pages printed per cartridge)

• I would highly recommend that you use OEM toner with this printer. The number is HP 26A, or if you want the higher output, use HP 26X. Standard is 3000 copies, and the high output gives you 9000.
