QuestionWill the toner dry up like ink jet printer cartridges do?

- Answer Thank you for the question. No, toner is already dry and "melts" when it's heated up by the drum and delivered to the page. Inkjet cartridges have liquid ink that is warmed to the proper viscosity and sprayed onto the page. Inkjet cartridges will dry from non-use and out-of-package environments. This can be overcome by leaving the printer on to do its cleaning cycles and printing a page every couple of weeks to keep the ink ready to circulate.

- Answer You'd make sure that the phone and printer are on the same wireless network so they can communicate. If you've got an Android phone, you'll need to download the free HP Smart app. If you've got an Apple phone, the Smart app isn't required, but it will give you more functionality.

- Answer Yes, you can, but you'll need a fax telephone line or regular landline telephone line you can plug into the machine if you don't have a dedicated fax line. Or just get subscribe to a virtual fax service like Nextiva for about $65/year.
