The 477fdn will automatically print on both sides of the page (if you desire) but does not have built-in wireless capability. If you have a wireless capability in your router (most do) and the 477fdn is connected to that router, then you can set the fdn up to print wirelessly via the router. The 477fnw does have the built in wireless capability but it can not automatically print on both sides of the page. You can take the page it has printed (one side only), and run it back through the printer to print on the other side. I haven't used such a "manual duplexing", but I'd think there is some sort of capability to order the print job in such a way that, as long as the page order was not disturbed, it would work out the same. Personally, I like automatic duplexing and only buy printers with that feature (photo specific printers excepted), and since the wireless functionality can be accomplished with a router that bit can become a non-issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The FNW is wireless on its own. The FDN needs to be hooked up to a wireless router (wired) in order for it to be wireless. If your router is located in the same room as your router than you can save the money and get the FDN.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well, I learned the hard way. The M477fdw does duplex printing and WILL NOT do LAN wireless printing from your computer. You must use an Ethernet cable. However, you CAN print wireless by installing a mobile APP. This printer DOES duplex printing automatically. The M477fnw DOES not do duplex printing (two-sided printing) automatically, however, you can do it manually and this printer is a LAN wireless printer, or you can use a mobile APP or the good old Ethernet cable. So choose what is important to you?
