The LaserJet Pro M283fdw can print on the following media types: Paper (bond, brochure, colored, glossy, heavy, letterhead, light, photo, plain, preprinted, prepunched, recycled, rough), transparencies, labels, envelopes, and cardstock. It cannot print on canvas.

- Answer Thank you for your question on this HP Printer! You can change the timings on it through the settings menu then go to the Power Settings. You can change when the printer goes to sleep or even turns off. If the printer has a dynamic IP address, it should stay turned on so the computers do not return a "Printer Offline" error after the printer has been assigned another IP address after being turned back on.

- Answer Thank you for your interest in this HP Color LaserJet Pro printer. This will print on any stock paper that is made for laser printing, including metallic papers. Make sure the paper is no more than 90gsm and it is made for laser printers. Both of those will be on the paper packaging.

- Answer Thanks for your question. The HP LaserJet Pro M283fdw will work with Windows 11. This model does feature a USB port for a flash drive that you can print from and scan to. You can scan to OneDrive from the printer as well.

- Answer Hello and thank you for asking. The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw is dynamic security enabled which may be updated periodically by firmware updates. They are intended to be used only with toner cartridges using an original HP chip, included with every new genuine HP toner cartridge. Cartridges using a non-HP chip may not work, and those that work today may not work in the future.

- Answer There is an option on the Scan Menu to Scan to E-mail as well as an Address Book option to add frequently used email addresses. You can also use the HP Smart Printer app on your mobile device to setup shortcuts when scanning so that you can just scan the document(s), click the shortcut, and let it process.

- Answer That depends on the source that you're using. The ADF on this handles up to 300dpi hardware scanning while the flatbed goes up to the stated resolution of 1200dpi.

- Answer There are a number of online links via HP that teach you how to use the printer. They are all in the documentation included in the box. Additionally, go to printer properties and you can adjust there. You can also adjust in the software from which you are printing. Without any more specifics on the question, I hope this information helps.

- Answer Up to 600 dpi. I printed some pictures on regular printer paper and they look great. Color elements of normal Word documents with figures and stuff embedded also look great!
