Yes, this will work on a HP gaming laptop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I run this on a dell inspiron 7000 with 1050ti and i5 7300hq. Steam VR games work well there's a good tutorial on youtube on setup. Games vary from free to about 40 dollars for VR so far.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The hardware requirement for WMS is not super demanding and games are now in steam so you can enjoy it just like any other vr headset.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It requires a minimum of a intel i5 4th Gen Series CPU (or AMD Ryzen 5 1400), 8GB Ram, nVidia 960 graphics (Intel HD 620 Integrated), HDMI port, USB 3.0, and Bluetooth (for the controllers). Requires the Windows 10 November Founders Update. You can use the guildines here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4039260/windows-10-mixed-reality-pc-hardware-guidelines to see if it would work. Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this will work on this laptop. As I recall most OMEN laptops come with a 1050 Nvidia graphics or higher with an i7 processor. This will work very well with this headset. As for cost of games and apps. The Microsoft store offers many free apps and the ones to be purchased are at a reasonable cost and on sale a lot of times and for upper end games no more or maybe even less than the cost if purchased for a PC or XBOX or what ever. You can also check out the offerings in Steam VR as well that have a lot of games and apps to choose from especially when you set up this headset on your laptop to use Oculus games. Look this up online and they will walk you through it. Very easy. All in all, I think that Microsoft entering into the VR market will help to expand the availability of games and apps to allow for more offerings and better pricing. These headsets are reasonably priced and work very well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This works natively in Windows 10, and the latest April update of Windows 10 included a lot of improvements and new features for mixed reality. So, something like Minecraft Windows 10 edition will run in VR without any additional software. It also supports Steam VR and any VR game in Steam that has the Windows Mixed Reality logo. Cost are about the same as a PC game. I was able to use it on my HP Envy i7 with a GTX 940M, but performance was not as good as I would've liked. It ran just fine on my PC with an i7 and a GTX1060, so it depends on your laptop specs, but that should give you an idea.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need a decent graphics card. All games are downloaded from Microsoft Store and Steam. You the the ability to use the content from HTC and Oculus through Steam and Revive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will work. However, I was disappointed in the headset. The sweet spot and FOV is very small. I also did not like the motion blur in. I find the rift and psvr better headsets. I have not tried the HTC VIVE so I can't compare it but my guess is the VIVE is better also.
