Thank you for your input. I am glad to know you have had a good experience with this printer. We finally took the printer back to Best Buy and they exchanged it for the same model. The new printer works beautifully so far!! We are now very pleased with both Best Buy, their personnel and the functioning hp model 1001nw printer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. I had only 1 jam during the 2+ months I've had the printer. (I'm working at home and use it 1-3 times daily on weekdays/1-20 pages daily.) I believe my jam occurred because I added more paper than usual. Although it appears you can use a 1-inch stack of paper, I think a smaller supply - a 1/2 - 3/4 inch stack - works better. (Maybe not technical terms.) I was pleased that I was able to remove the jammed page and re-start the printer immediately. (A small leftover scrap of paper emerged from the printer during printing a few days later. ) I would have experienced at least 10 paper jams in the office during the same period of time and would have needed help from others to un-jam them and print. Still very pleased with the printer, ... tho I wish it had a copy function.
