“Software ?? I have a HP J6480 that just went belly up. I have a HP 5740 on the way. That being said ..... Do I need to remove the J6480's software prior to installing the 5740 and it's software ?? Many Thanks, CMG”

• If you want to yes. just make sure you select the new printer when printing

• Removing the software for the HP J6480 would help but keeping it also wouldn't hurt neither. I would remove it since it will do no good to keep on your computer. Thank you for choosing HP for all your printing needs.
