From my experience, you need to download the HP Scan application to your Mac. From there, you control scanning. You open he application, click "Scan" and it searched for the printer. As long as you can print and you're connected to your wireless network, everything should be fine.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had no trouble scanning a document, creating a PDF and sending it to my MacBook Pro. I am somewhat "challenged" when doing many computer tasks but when I fed the document into the scanner and followed the dashboard prompts on the printer, it appeared in "My Pictures" on my Mac. It was a great copy and transmitted quickly. Hope this helps.
