1) make sure it is genuine HP ink. 2) 902 is the model you need. 3) lately some of the cartridges have come out bad from the factory. Take the cartridge back for a replacement. 4) if the printer is old it could have just failed. Contact HP support. They have been very helpful in the pass for me.
