I'm not 100% positive on this...but the last few printers I have had from HP have been very picky about their cartridges. I would highly suggest you sign up for their ink cartridge plan. It saves you money in the long run and you always have ink on hand and don't have to worry about a refilled cartridge working. I used to refill my own forever! But....with HP they are getting so picky it wasn't worth my time or money to mess with. Go with the manufacturer's cartridges, get on the cartridge plan....many available depending on how much you print each month, and then go from there. I do hear there is a new printer out....not sure of the manufacturer, that uses huge, refillable tanks. I think it is a bit spendy if you are not doing a major amount of printing all the time. Just some food for thought, depending on your specific needs.
