“My printer is new. Whenever I try to print on it, I get a message that the printer is updating. It often takes several minutes before the update is complete and then it will print my document. Can I fix this?”

• if you don't use the printer a lot it does that... mine too. Seems when I don't use the printer for a while it does this maintenance thing and some updating .It can be disabled in tools

• I would reach out to the HP support team to ask about this. It seems unusual, I have not heard of it before.
