• The automatic document feeder (ADF) will hold up to 50 sheets. That means that you could scan a 50-page document and it would show up at the destination as one file, 50 pages in size. I have done 20+ page scans multiple times on mine and it handles them like a champ.

• It has a feeder on the top so you can leave a stack of papers for it to feed in one at a time automatically. I'm not sure if "20" is too many or not, but you can put a stack on the top tray.
