• Their is no settings on the printer itself. You need to go to the printer settings on your computer to set it up. Yes it does make a difference in the quality if you use the right settings.

• Look at the Supported Paper Sizes on the specifications tab on the printer's page. Most of the settings to control the paper sizes are in the software you're printing from.
