“I have pro 8625. Seems it lost the capability to scan to computer but can scan to usb drive. Can we reconnect or do I have to buy new printer? How different is 9015?”

You should try resetting the printer(unplugging for 5 minutes) and also deleting and reinstalling the drivers. If that does not work, the OfficeJet pro 9015 is the replacement for the 8625 with similar features. It does not have a legal paper sized flatbed for scanning, but can scan legal in the document feeder. It is faster, smaller with a lot more features like smart tasks using the free HP Smart App.
