“I have a piece of paper with small print on it. Can make a copy of it that enlarges the print size so that it will take up more of the page? I am replacing an HP 6500 and, much to my surprise, couldn't find that option on it.”

Yes, when you choose print, there will be a settings gear on the touchscreen. When you touch the settings gear, you will see options for enlarging and reducing.
