QuestionHi, has anyone had trouble with the fan? It comes on right away and is very high/loud/hot even when not playing anything. Are there settings I can adjust? Thank you in advance!

- Answer It shouldn’t be that hot, mine averages low 30 while not playing, and 40- high 40’s while playing. Have you used the Omen App it has? There are settings for fan control, though put it on max, when playing. Auto is terrible it really doesn’t help you cool it down. I’d say custom is also bad because in order to make the fans go somewhat fast to cool it, you’ll have to do something that requires your cpu a lot.

- Answer The Optane cache is on the first M.2 drive. It is part of the drive. The second M.2 slot is empty. You can add a second drive there.

- Answer You can upgrade the WiFi card. It just requires taking the bottom cover off to access the motherboard to access the motherboard where the WiFi card is.

QuestionI heard that the optane is part of the ram not the ssd drive, my question is how did they get the optane in the same slots as the ram, or does the optane populate a ssd drive bay??

- Answer Whoever told you that is stupid. It’s built into the ssd. And yes that leaves you with one empty m.2 slot. Just google it.

- Answer You can easly create a Windows 10 / 11 USB bootable USB and start from there. but the real question is, CAN you boot to the BIOS? normally when windows fail to boot will give you a message or find a way to by pass the problem before doing anything (happen to me i was getting Blue screen and rebooted 2 times before Windows actually booted normally the 3rd time.) but creating a WIndows 10 / 11 USB will get you where you need to go. Windows 10 / 11 ISO's files can be downloaded from Microsoft site and use Rufus to create the bootable drive.

- Answer Yes, both the internal monitor on the laptop and the external DisplayPort connector support G-Sync. They should also work with some Freesync displays that are marked as G-Sync compatible.

- Answer No; however, it has 2 NVMe drive slots. One already with the 500GB boot drive and a second empty one. I added a 1TB Samsung 970 EVO plus to mine. You can get them up to 2TB but my local Best Buy only carried 1TB

- Answer It sure does! I got both VR oculus headset and the only difference I noticed is thats the headset runs way better if the laptop is plugged in to the power.
