Adobe RGB is used in print media like books, magazines, flyers, ect. sRGB is used for online graphics. You can convert Adobe RGB to sRGB but not the other way around. Unless you deal with print media it is not that big a deal. If you put graphics online that used the Adobe RGB standard the graphics will look washed out and dull.
