• I believe so, especially since you mentioned open-air. The main concern would be any obstructions to its air vents. I recommend contacting HP and asking them directly before deciding to do this, though.

• As long as you don't block any of the air vents (e.g., the right side when facing the front is a solid piece), you should be fine.

• No!! you definitely want this to be stood up as shown, as if you put it on its side it will restrict airflow and potentially cause damages
