So the Omen Gaming settings do not alleviate the temperature issue on their own, even at turbo settings. If you get this pc you may want to budget for additional fans and a 92mm mesh to turn the rear exhaust into another intake. The gpu tends to block airflow to the cpu radiator, so while it doesn't tend to thermal throttle, the cpu definitely does. Ultimately, I decided to simply get a new case and motherboard for better I/O and thermals

Please try again later.Yes, you can adjust the fans so that they run as quietly as possible given the thermal loads, or have them set to run at a higher speed all the time, which will result in lower temperatures but causes more noise. "The computer gets hot" is really tough to answer properly in a forum like this, because there are so many variables: Whether the computer has an unobstructed flow of air can affect temperatures (if you put a bunch of papers and stuff on top, it blocks the flow of air through the top fan, for example) as does the ambient temperature in the room.
