This laptop does not have a ssd or solid state drive. They are more reliable and more expensive. There are no moving parts like a traditional disk hard drive. If you were to drop a laptop with a ssd the drive would not get damaged and lose what you store unlike a disk hard drive. A ssd is basically like a huge memory card.
