No! It fooled us too. When you open it up, there is a place for a CD drive BUT NO CD DRIVE!!!!!

This device does not have a cd/dvd player. Get the last version. Just because it looks like it has the drive is a LIE.

YES THEIR IS A SLOT TO INSTALL A CD/DVD DRIVE BUT IT DOES NOT COME WITH IT. THIS CAN BE DONE VERY EASILY SO THIS IS A GOOD DEAL ON A GOOD MACHINE.

No, this Pavilion Desktop does not have an optical drive, therefore you cannot burn a CD.
