• The SSD that comes with this system is an Intel Optane which means the OS is not directly loaded on it. It can be swapped out, but that defeats the purpose of paying for the Optane in the first place.

• Yes, the OS is loaded on the SSD. If you wish to upgrade the SSD you will need to clone the OS and reinstall it on the new SSD.
