  • Compatibility
    • Operating System: Windows 10 Home (The operating system manages all software and hardware, including files, memory and connected devices. Most importantly, it lets you interact with your device and your programs in a visual way; otherwise, you'd be typing computer code to get anything done.)
    • Operating System Architecture: 64-bit (An operating system (OS) manages computer hardware, software resources, and programs in conjunction with the system's processor. 64-bit operating systems can handle more data at once than 32-bit systems, resulting in faster speeds, more effiency, and overall improved performance.)
  • Connectivity
    • Number of VGA Ports: 1 (VGA (Video Graphics Adapter or Video Graphics Array) is a display standard that transmits via analog signals. This type of interface is typically used to connect a computer to a display device such as a monitor, projector, or TV.)
    • Ethernet Card: 10/100/1000 (Also known as an Ethernet adapter, this card plugs into a computer's motherboard and enables it to access an Ethernet network. Ethernet data transmission speeds are measured in Mbps (megabits per second) and Gbps (gigabits per second). For example, a 10/100 Ethernet port transmits 10 and 100 Mbps, while a 10/100/1000 Ethernet port transmits 10 and 100 Mbps and has a maximum speed of 1000 Mbps (1 Gbps).)

Q: Will this connect and work well with my Lenovo monitor LEN L2261wA? And with my current Lenovo keyboard model KB2011 (FN)? What is the noise rating of the fan and processor? (Super quiet, generally quiet, etc)

A: Thank you for reaching out. This model should be generally quiet. You would need to use a DVI to HDMI adapter to use your monitor. You could certainly use your current keyboard as long as you have an available USB adapter.

Q: Does this have any dedicated video RAM?

A: This model has integrated graphics and does not have dedicated VRAM.

Q: Could I move the components from this PC to a different case? For instance, would the screw holes on the motherboard align with those on a regular case?

A: Yes, if you have another case with standard 3.5" bays you can install the components. It would be up to you to confirm that your case can accommodate the Lincs model motherboard https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05991291

Q: WILL THIS HP DESKTOP USING MY DELL HD MONITOR ? ITS A VGA MONITOR.

A: Yes, this desktop has a VGA port for your monitor!

Q: What do I add to support 3 monitors?

A: You would need to add a dedicated graphics processing unit (GPU), but this could also require an upgrade to the power supply, which unfortunately is not recommended for our non-gaming desktops since they are configured and tested for optimum performance with the components they currently have.

Q: Trying to run 3 monitors on this workstation, would I be able to have one monitor connected to the on-board video chip and 2 monitors on a dedicated video card? Is there a setting in the BIOS that allows this?

A: If you were to install a discrete/dedicated graphics card onto this computer, the integrated card would be disabled. So, you would need to use the ports on the discrete/dedicated card. Be sure the computer has the right power supply for discrete/dedicated card. You can configure your displays through the Windows settings. You may be able to use the control panel of the graphics card to also set up your displays.
