I bought a $10 wireless USB adapter and it's been working fine for me. Without an adapter you will need an ethernet cord. As for the HDMI compatibility, it does not have an HDMI port. I got a DisplayPort (there is one on the back of the tower) to HDMI cord and can plug it into monitors and TVs with that. Both cost me about $10 each but are worth it to me as easy fixes to minor inconveniences. Hope this helped! Note: the products I suggested are similar but not the exact products I bought.
